April 5th 2019, 7pm, SomoS Arts Berlin presents the 6th edition of its Cinema Conversación LGBTQ screening and artist talks series, curated by Zsombor Bobák.

We are delighted that Hamburg-based artist Stefan Mildenberger joins us to present different chapters from his project titled LIQUID PORN, an intriguing endeavor merging technological manipulation and queer erotica. Join us for an unforgettable night of cinematic arts!

Cinema Conversación is a series of screenings and discussions focusing on LGBTQ* experiences and provides a platform to challenge and question boundaries within film and cinema.

About Stefan Mildenberger:

Stefan Mildenberger grew up in a small town in the electronic store of his grandparents and had started very early to experiment with televisions and technical equipment. During his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Hamburg (HFBK), he rediscovered his interest in the alienation of mass media and professionalized it into a complex body of art work, which is constantly growing. In his art, he deals with the reformulation and abstraction of information from mass media content and its political, cultural and social impact. By using conceptual processes, compositional strategies and with the help of coincidence, he deconstructs the actual convention and creates an abstraction out of it.

Mildenberger received several scholarships and participated in national and international exhibitions, for example at the Kasseler Kunstverein, Kunstverein Jesteburg, Neuer Ravensburger Kunstverein, Kunsthaus Hamburg, Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck and Bundeskunsthalle Bonn.
